But instead of bitching about this KINJA bullshit, how about we email the crap out of the KINJA support team?

And don't just bitch either - be a good end-user (trust me on this, I used to be tech support myself) and do the following:

1: Describe actually what happens, sequentially if possible- support guys need to know workflow as much as possible.

2: Describe where it happens on the page

3: Describe whether there's a significant difference between home (wired/wireless), work (wired/wireless), mobile or coffee shop. This shit matters sometimes too. Sometimes your BOFH doesn't want you fuckin' the dog at work. Snap it up, buckwheat!

4: Decribe your 'working environment" as accurately as possible. Operating system version, updates, last update, browser/s(I've tried Kinja on Chrome, FF, Dolphin HD on the tablet, Chrome on the tablet, stock tablet browser) and if you're trying to browse on mobile, offer the make/model and what the latest OS is up to.

FWIW, Kinja is fucked on all browsing environments that I've tried.

Also let them know WHEN shit started going pear-shaped on you - this matters too, because then if there IS proper code review and versioning (please tell me there is proper code versioning!), then if they get enough hollering, they can roll it back or at least identify what's making us monkeys grumpy.

Yes, I said monkeys. We're all monkeys. You too, VS ;-)

Like I said up top, I don't have too much room to be saying much, as I bitch just as much as anyone else, but if we really value this platform, it behooves us to provide proper feedback to our lords and masters so they can un-fuck things.

If they care to do so.

Thanks for your time!

What is the Kinja support handle? Where shall we address our troubles to?

Go here . Fill out all the required stuff, and then go to town in the comment box.

Like I said up top, document everything you can think of, and try to do so in a readable format. If you need to take time in Notepad or what-have-you to format, all the better. VERBOSITY IS KING.

Good man!

I've been asked to submit before, but it wasn't until today, spending more time on reddit than Oppo because Kinja is twisting my fucking balls so hard that I snapped and sent a message.

It may be because I'm a nerd myself, but usually I try to hack and poke myself. This shit happening lately? It's all server-side. Almost guaranteed.

I've had major problem several times for at least the last eight months, usually happens when they are about to launch a fix/improvement/new iteration of Kinja. The fact that I run 4 different OS and 5 different browser could provide them with some help, problem is that I'm a hardware guy, not software.. But yes, I'd say it's server-side..

Until my #! laptop and my Kubuntu workstation bit it (PSU died on the big one), I had XP, Linux and Android running Chrome, ff, Dolphin HD and Android stock, and they all started sucking. When i would let my mouse wander whilst typing, the page would rush back up to the top, which gets really annoying when typing long replies to equally long posts.

Grrrr.

How does jalop/oppo work on Dolphin? I've been thinking about trying that on my android mini laptop...

You'll likely get a much better experience on a mini-laptop with Dolphin than I did on either of my tablets or my phone - the load times are atrocious on my phone, and only slightly less horrid on my ASUS. Granted it's a low-end tab, but still.

The rendering is good, better than IE as far as "correctness" goes. And unlike Chrome, which loads tabs only when you bring them into focus, you can load them in the background in Dolphin. The downside, at least for me? RAM usage.

Besides the 'page jumping' I described earlier, browsing Oppo on Chrome on the tablet is a unique exercise in frustration - when replying to a post, the cursor jumps around like a motherfucker, rendering my post closer to the output of early speech-to-text programs on Windows 98SE, necessitating either completely re-typing the post, or carefully inserting the cursor to un-fuck things. Also, the stock Android and standard tablet on-screen keyboards both seem to fall down as far as auto-correct is concerned, which seems related to the jumping cursor thing, which does not happen with browsing other sites in Chrome, nor GMail/reddit app/what-have-you.

Most mini-laptops with Android will have better specs than my tablet, so you'll likely have better luck with Dolphin.

tried reaching support once to no avail, I assume it's just a veil that doesn't really get to anybody useful to solve real issues.

LairdAndieMcBrattle(sic) says he's had pretty good rapport with the tech guys - who knows, maybe they're swamped with "lol ur pages r fukd" messages!
